District Election Information
General Information
- The Red, White, and Blue Fire Protection District will hold a Special District election on May 6, 2025.
- There are four (4) Board positions up for election.
Who May Vote in the Election
An eligible elector for the Red, White & Blue Fire Protection District is a person who is registered to vote in the State of Colorado and is either:
- A resident within the District; or
- The owner of taxable real or personal property situated within the District boundaries. The owner must be a natural person, not a corporation, trust, partnership, etc.; or
- The spouse or civil union partner of the owner of taxable real or personal property situated within the District boundaries.
Voter Registration
- A person can register to vote during the regular working hours at the Summit County Clerk’s Office or,
- A person can go online and register or print the registration form; however, the forms must be received at the Summit County Clerk’s office 8 days before the election date to include the name in the official registered voter's list.
- If a person wants to vote but has not registered to vote 8 days before the election date, they may go to the County Clerk’s office before or on the day of the election and register. They will be issued a temporary voter registration card, which they must present to vote. The registration must occur during the regular working hours of the County Clerk’s office, including the day of the election.
- Registration will not be available at our polling location, nor will the ability be granted to any authority to register people to vote.
- Election Judges will have the authority to ask a voter for identification if there appears to be some confusion about how the name appears on the official voter's list.
