The Red, White and Blue Fire Protection District was evaluated in 2020 and the Protection Class changed from a 4/9 to a 2/2Y, effective November 1, 2020.  The District is also Accredited through the Center for Public Safety Excellence.

Areas within 1000 feet of a fire hydrant are classified as a Protection Class of 2.  Homes and businesses no hydrants within 1000 feet are a Protection Class of 2Y.

ISO has published new classifications as "X" and "Y" to represent the past ratings of "9" and "8B" of a split classification respectively.  The District continually strives to lower the ISO Protection Class rating.
