Fire District Files Emergency Declaration, Posted on: March 13, 2020
BRECKERNIDGE – On March 13th, the Red, White and Blue Fire Protection District has filed a local emergency disaster declaration to support its COVID-19 response. This declaration helps the District facilitate access to funding and other resources.
At the March 19th board meeting, the Board of Directors extended this declaration through the adoption of Resolution 2020-05. This declaration will expire on April 23rd, unless extended or terminated by the Board of Directors. The Board may consider extending the time frame during its regular meeting beginning at 3:00 p.m. on April 23rd. The Board feels it was important to file the declaration, because the cost for the response to the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to exceed the resources available to the District.
People with questions about COVID-19 can call the CO HELP Hotline at 1-877-462-2911. Community updates are being shared at www.SummitCountyCO.gov/emergencyblog.
